We've also created ManGlaze Hot Mess! It's another sick matte topcoat that's just got stupid amounts of bling in the bottle! Put it over white and it looks like Christmas. Go over red and it looks like my old Sears Silvertone. Try it on a metallic and it's like those old fiberglass dunebuggy's. Send us pics!
Unfortunately, the new stuff costs more - $13.13 +s/h! It sucks. We know. But our costs went up blah, blah, blah something about "this economy". Anyway, we've got 1500 bottles of each Matte-Astrophe and Hot Mess and I plan on numbering them all as the go out. They're both useful cuz you can "mattificate" any crappy gloss you want with them.

ManGlaze INK. is happy to announce 2 new labels with art created by UK artist Jason Atomic! The new labels are used randomly on our revised matte black, MATTE IS MURDER!
Click on BUY below to see the crappy pics I took of Jason Atomic and Joe Simko's awesome art on our bottles!

The Death Tar V1 is now sold out. Done. Discontinued. Gone.
Sadly we have a new, more hideous matte black waiting for you. Unfortunately, we can't sell it until you help us name it. If we use your name, you might get some free shit. Send suggestions to mail@manglaze.com or http://www.twitter.com/manglaze
Today I feel like Captain Awesome! Our crappy
little nail polish company is really going places — Paris (the one in
France)! ManGlaze INK. was asked to create a special matte grey nail
polish to match designer Gareth Pugh's Spring 2010 Collection at Paris
Fashion Week. We were on super a tight deadline and getting just the
right mix of our matte grey and matte black was a very trying affair.
During the process, I decided to name this special blend "Hot Mess"
since that's literally what it was. :D Because this was such an
incredible honor for our tiny shop, we decided to feature our new
limited edition bottle labels by artist Jason Atomic! It was a very
happy accident that Jason Atomic's reworking of his previous London
Tart Cards paintings seem to tie in so perfectly with ManGlaze and help
bridge the gap between us, the art world and high fashion.
Keep an eye on our store for this Limited Edition - Jason Atomic ManGlaze® Haute Mess™ packaging.
We also spoke to Gary Card to find out how he went about constructing these pieces for the shoot...
What reference points from Maria Blaisse's work did you use to construct your pieces?
Karen Langley sent
me a few photos of Maria Blaisse's work and simply told me to
re-interpret them how I saw fit. The
important thing was to keep a balance between respectfully referencing
without directly copying her. For me the biggest challenge was 'the
spike dress', it was a really key piece so I wanted to give it a lot of
attention. It took about 20 hours to construct.
Your work has been used in many fashion contexts now; do you see yourself progressing onto 'wearable' cardboard pieces?
I've been asked this a lot recently and it's something I've always thought
about and I'd absolutely love to explore the idea in the future. Me and
my boyfriend always talk about one day becoming a Victor and Rolf style
duo, so who knows, I've got such a strange career right now it could
really go anywhere.
What are you working on at the moment?
This week I'm working on a very exciting project with 'Matches' for
fashion week, customizing some instruments for Lady Gaga and making
some costume pieces for a Steven Klein shoot with Nicola Formichetti."

12.26.2008 - SoCal Guitar Hero Ronny North

Guitar Overlord Ronny North with the only nail polish that's tough enough to shred! Photo by Karen Barrezueta.
Ok, I still suck at Guitar Hero. But at least some REAL guitar heroes have made ManGlaze their polish of choice! Surf Dog recording artist/guitarist Gary Hoey and Saliva shredder, Jon Montoya have put ManGlaze to the test. Now Ronny North, long time Southern California guitar overfiend makes the switch to ManGlaze! And even though our nail polish kicks ass, we are so "Not Worthy!!!" Quite simply, Ronny fucking shreds, and we're honored that he chose ManGlaze to adorn his Weapons of AXE Destruction!

Killswitch Engage, Saliva, Sevendust, Rehab, Bret Michaels and Godsmack hung out in the private lounge, getting ready for stage. Bret Michaels, Sevendust and Saliva wore Rebel Spirit on-stage, and Lajon, lead singer of Sevendust, went so far as to thank the Lounge on-stage in front of the amphitheatre full of fans. Before and after their performance, bands hung out in the private Lounge, jamming on PRS Guitars and enjoying the bar provided by Voodoo Tiki Tequila, Narragansett Brewing Company, Burgess Wine and Headshot Energy Drink. Rockstars’ hair was styled by Invidia, Marc Harris and Punky Fresh hair salons. ManGlaze Ink Matte Nail Polish gave the bands manicures and McInniss tattoos inked up some of the rockstars. Wear Your Music gifted bands bracelets made from guitar strings. Christina and her colleagues dressed the bands in all kinds of rock ‘n roll inspired wardrobe. The Lounge also served a greater good in supporting Rock The Vote, a non-partisan non-profit organization encouraging Americans to vote.
9.12.2008 - Dutch Hottie Review
ManGlaze™ got reviewed by Dutch website MissLipGloss.nl. The coolest thing is Miss Lip Gloss herself wearing ManGlaze in this video where she's giving some kinda eye makeup lesson. I don't know what she's saying, but she sure is Klassy!

5.18.2008 - Randoms
Here is what some of our customers have said to us about ManGlaze. It's pretty funny that even though most of our customers are guys, we pretty much only hear back from our female clientele. I'm that kinda guy too though so I can't really blame the guys:
"I have to say how impressed i was with the speed of the delivery. Received it on Friday 16th. Fantastic. One of my friends ordered it and i loved it so much i thought i should get my own rather than use all of hers. Will definitely be coming back for more. Thanks heaps"
-Angela
"The Manglaze has arrived. Off to paint my nails now and amaze all my friends.... Thanks,"
-Jane
i LOVE the black polish - it reminds me of mountain bike tires. i'd name it Nubby Tires.
-Chandra
"i just got the nail polish and the gray is awesome and so is the black. i plan on ordering more bottles of both in the future, thanks again!"
-Ashley
"It's simply excellent. I love it. Though at first I thought it was glossy.... (maybe let people know it's glossy when wet....!) It actually the best nail varnish ever ... The bottles are a wicked design too btw!
-Foley
"Our Spa recently received two of your Polishes ... and I must say that I am completely impressed by both polishes. I will be ordering/adding these colors to our current selection. Kudos for the innovation!"
-Rachelle
"Just wanted to let you know that I got the man glaze today. Yay! Just finished testing it out and it looks lovely! Just like some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper.. "
-Katie
" I love the polish, I got it Wednesday, Super fast!! I'll send pictures soon. Thanks!"
-Layidua
"still wearing the black stuff from the weekend, despite a few odd looks, it actually went down pretty well. Will be sticking with it!"
-Dan
"i got it yesterday, i thought i'd have to wait at least a week, thanks heaps! I absolutely love it, I haven't tried out the black nail varnish yet, but the grey one is fantastic, goodbye to pink nails! I'll send you pictures as soon as I've made some. Thanks heaps, I'm really pleased I ordered from you and will definitely recommend you to my mates!"
-Lucy
Can you believe these 8 girls found this really long sofa, made t-shirts and recorded this video for us? I don't. ;)

2.19.08 - ManGlaze Avalanche
This is from the top of Alyeska. They actually closed the resort the next day cuz all the rain and wind made for perfect avalance conditions.

2.10.08 - Dowdydiva Blog
A great big thanks to Cecile for reviewing the ManGlaze! Even if she is putting a topcoat over it! I think it's like putting ketchup on a porterhouse. But hey, sometimes that shit is good! http://dowdydiva.blogspot.com/

1.28.08 - The New Stick!
Bwaah!!! That's my 156 Lib Tech Skate Banana — all ManGlazed up! If you ride, do yourself a favor and demo one. You won't want to waste your time riding anything else. About the only complaint you could have about the Skate Banana is the donkey graphics. Ok. Really there were no graphics it's just a big banana! And I get it. It was cool for a minute but that big blank canvas was just begging for some art. Thanks to Joe Simko of www.SweetRot.com for the killer design!

12.22.07 - YAMAHA TW-FATASS
Here's one last glimpse of the ManGlaze Mobile. The TW Fatass is off the streets for the season. I had considered getting or creating a set of studded tires for it, so I could ride through the winter (just like Van Der Beek did in that movie Rules of Attraction). Instead I opted for a Lib Tech Skate Banana w/MagneTraction! I figure I'll get my thrills on a snowboard instead of taking my chances with a Chicago CTA bus or worse, a plow truck.

12.21.07 - Dick
The other day I heard the news about some jackass who beat a seven year old kid cuz the kid was putting pink nail polish on himself. Presumably, this jackass didn't want the kid to grow up to be something less than a "real" man. What does the act of beating up a seven year old kid make one? Certainly not a man. Maybe not really even a human. So for a short time, I've renamed our Grey and Black Matte Nail polishes. I get a kick out of it.
12.13.07 - Roz Weston is my hero!
Hardcore-Stud-Party-Manimal Roz Weston (ET Canada) sent us this photo! In it he proves that wearing ManGlaze and having a talented mouth can GET YOU CHICKS!
"It's hard to see - but I wore the grey to a the opening of a new rock bar called "Tattoo" - Toronto..."
11.21.07 - Gettin' Global
So far we've added Japan, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany and Norway to the list of countries where ManGlaze Matte Nail Polish is being worn! The most encouraging thing is that everyone that has bought it, loves it! Stay tuned because we've got some really cool stuff coming up in 2008.
ManGlaze Fan Rockin' the Guitar Hero!
One of our very first customers sent us this. You might think you rule at Guitar Hero. But can you do it with your toes??? I'm waiting for the video of where he uses his feet to pour whiskey all over the controller and set that plastic axe ablaze! I'm ready to do that with mine cuz I can't get past Slayer's Raining Blood. BTW- Did ya notice the little doggy feet in the upper left foot corner? You know that dog is like, "Dude, just let me get you through this song. Seriously, I'll give it right back." And you know he'll just end up completing the entire fucking level.
09.01.07 - Chicago Magazine mentions us really small at the bottom of a page in like 6pt type!
Chicago Magazine's Style Writers Love... ManGlaze!!! They even say so and give a few makeup tips on Page 38 of the September 2007 issue.
